This letter is long overdue and for that I apologize. I decided to sell my home in Madison and was referred to Paul Richert. After meeting with Paul I had a very warm feeling about him and felt good about having him as my listing agent and also to help me find a new home. Paul went above and beyond my expectations in many ways. He made me feel like I was his only client. He took me to Cambridge, Portage, Stoughton, Arena, Belleville and ultimately New Glarus looking for the perfect home. When I was willing to settle for something not quite right, Paul would remind me of the things I was looking for and didn't let me settle for less. My home in Madison sold in 13 days for list price. We found the perfect home in New Glarus and Paul was wonderful about bringing me out here whenever I wanted to see the house or show someone else. During the selling and buying process I was diagnosed with breast cancer. If possible, Paul was even more amazing going forward. From making arrangements to have inspection repairs made to my old home to hauling a riding lawn mower to New Glarus to mow the lawn of the home I was buying, he did it all! I feel I gained a good friend in Paul through the process. It was great having someone willing to assist in my trying time that showed genuine care and compassion.

There are three things, in my opinion, that set Paul Richert apart from many other Realtors, and make him the logical choice for anyone relocating to the Madison area. 1) His honest, straight-forward communication with his clients. He listened well and understood our needs in detail. 2) Follow-up. When Paul says he's going to do something, he does it. He is very detail oriented and organized, and keeps the buying process on track and free of surprises. 3) Going the extra mile. Paul's extra effort made my family's transition to the Madison area much easier. He showed me around Madison even before I accepted an employment offer. He met with inspectors when I couldn't get away from work, and he obtained information on systems in my new home that I wanted prior to move in. Let me tell you about our experience with Paul Richert. My husband and I were moving in from out-of-state. We worked extensively with Paul through email and virtual home tours before our scheduled visit to Madison. We flew in on the Thursday before Easter, with the hope of having a home before leaving on Easter Sunday. Paul picked us up at the airport. We looked at homes all over the area. He seemed to know exactly what we wanted. In fact, he saved the home he thought we would like the best for last. He didn't want us to make an impulsive decision before seeing everything. On Friday afternoon, one day after arriving, we drove up to what became our new home. We knew driving up. We knew walking through it. We knew when we walked out back. We had an accepted offer by Friday night, which happened to be Good Friday. It was a good Friday. Since we were out-of-state, Paul handled EVERYTHING! He was at the house for the inspection and sat in for us at the closing, when we couldn't be there. When we finally pulled into our new driveway, it was 5 am on a Friday morning in May. Paul had bought us a couple of lawn chairs and stocked a cooler full of Wisconsin goodies(which if you're coming from out-of-state, means beer and cheese). It was great! My husband and I can't help but smile when we remember walking into our new, completely empty home, then walking around a corner and seeing the chairs and cooler sitting in the family room. We are a young couple. This is our first home. We would recommend Paul to anyone.
